Foxglove Lodge is a well-presented authentic Norwegian lodge resting in the hamlet of Hittisleigh, amidst rural Devon. Allow the chef of the group to become acquainted with the appliances, including an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher, before retiring to the comfortable sofa and lighting the woodburner.
Take the evening outside and enjoy alfresco dining from the patio furniture before relaxing under the stars in the hot tub. Make use of the family bathroom for a freshen up before retiring to either of the king-size rooms or the twin bedroom. Hittisleigh is a small, rural hamlet set in mid Devon, located a couple of miles north of the A30 between Exeter and Okehampton. The hamlet is home to the Parish Church of St Andrews, built in the early medieval time with many later historic features such as reputedly the oldest church bells in Devon.
Three miles away lies the hamlet of Whiddon Down, home to a fine pub, whilst further afield is the market town of Okehampton, where visitors can explore the ruins of Okehampton Castle, a prominent landmark and testament to the town’s medieval past, or explore several galleries and workshops that celebrate the creativity of local artists.
The spectacular Dartmoor National Park is easily accessible and boasts a myriad of walking and hiking trails, spanning through unspoiled countryside and local wildlife.
